Embracing Change is a programme unique to County Fermanagh catering for rural and farmwomen
Women in Agriculture have received an award of excellence from SEUPB as one of the top 15 projects chosen out of 5,200 projects in Peace 11
Since 1999 Women in Agriculture has completed a raft of innovative grass roots needs led programmes through the county to rural and farm women across Fermanagh.
We have just completed a pilot report documenting the Important Role of Rural Women entitled "Whats a Women Worth" which looks at the multi functional role played by women in our rural communities businesses and family life. A vital role in our society, in many cases the backbone of many rural communities.
The current project'Embracing Change' closed on 30th September with 117 rural women benefitting from the wide range of training programmes. We are looking at new avenues of funding for the future. If you have innovative ideas for new programmes please email or telephone the office at anytime.
Women in Agriculture is encouraging rural women to look at new opportunities to create new rural businesses in Fermanagh, the Rural Development Programme will be giving information and grant aid for a large number of projects. Please contact DARD for further details.
